Welcome to the parish of Kirkburn

 

 

 

The Parish of Kirkburn

From the East the Parish starts at Elmswell beck and runs south along this until it meets the trout stream.
It then turns south west and following the riverbed turns west until it meets wellsprings drain.
Continuing west it makes a few turns until heading north.
Tne boundary then follows the hedgerows Crossing Station road & takes the old Driffield Malton railway line until once again connecting to Elmswell beck
 
Kirkburn parish includes, Kelleythorpe village, its industrial estate the showground & the rugby club. In addition to the village of Kirkburn, the village of Southburn & the abandoned village of Eastburn are contained within the parish.
